BACOLOD City – A man was shot dead by three unidentified men at Purok Humayan, Barangay Pinowayan, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental last Monday.
Killed was Gaudioso Alforque, 55, of the said village, according to Police Corporal Aler Cañete, investigator of Don Salvador Benedicto Municipal Police Station.
Cañete said Alforque was found lifeless by his family after they heard gunshots in the area.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the back.
Cañete said that they need witnesses to identify the perpetrators.
Police recovered from the scene a slug and two empty shells of .45 caliber ammunition.
Cañete said the victim had no derogatory records in their barangay and the police.
Cañete said they are looking into revenge as possible angle behind his death.
He added that the victim’s son was killed in 2012 and the perpetrators were jailed.
