The body of a 21-year old-man was scooped out of a well in Poblacion, Alimodian, Iloilo on Aug 27, 2019.
Police identified the victim as Ronilo Alegrado, also a resident of Poblacion, Alimodian.
Police Master Sergeant Sandy Harder of Alimodian Police Station said they are investigating Alegrado’s death for indications of foul play.
But Alegrado’s family claimed that he was suffering from nervous breakdown.
One of the angles police are following is the possibility that he took his own life by jumping into the water well.
A stone was also latched to his arm to probably aid his drowning.
But Harder said they will still request for an autopsy to determine Alegrado’s cause of death.
The victim was reported missing on Aug 24.
