BACOLOD City – A man was found dead in a riverbank in Barangay Alijis here yesterday.
Police identified the victim as Ronie Loresto, 21, of Barangay Mansilingan.
Captain Eufracio Javines, head of Police Station 7, said the victim was partially buried in the sand when found by a resident in the area around 11:30 am.
The victim’s remains were positively identified by his 21-year-old partner and his sister.
Javines said they will investigate how the victim ended up in the area.
But initially, they received information that the victim was allegedly swept by flood at Barangay Mansilingan last Tuesday.
He said they are still checking the victim’s cause of death.
