Man found dead in Escalante

BACOLOD City – A man was found dead on the shoreline of Sitio Busay, Barangay Old Poblacion, Escalante City, Negros Occidental Wednesday.

The victim was identified by the police as Noe Taglucop, 56, of the said village.

Police records indicated that a resident found Taglucop floating beside a pumpboat.

It was reported that the victim brought the pumpboat to a deeper portion of the shore earlier that day. His lifeless body was discovered later in the afternoon.

Police said there was no sign of foul play in his death.
