A suspected drug peddler was arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation evening of Oct 27, 2021 in City Proper district, Iloilo City.
Jorie Pacolarin, 28, a resident of Barangay Monica Blumentritt, City Proper allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth P8,500 near Plaza Libertad in Barangay Zamora-Melliza.
Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU-6), together with operatives from the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 6 (RHPU-6) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 6 (CIDG-6)’s Anti-Illegal Drugs Team, seized from Pacolarin five sachets of suspected shabu and a pouch.
Lieutenant Glenn Soliman, RPDEU-6 team 3 leader, said the seized drugs was valued at P102,000.
Pacolarin threw the marked money to the ground when cops arrested him.
Soliman considered the suspect as a high value individual (HVI) drug personality, who was allegedly behind the rampant sale of illegal drugs in barangays Zamora Melliza and dela Rama.
It is believed that he disposed 70-100 grams of shabu per transaction, making him an HVI personality.
“He has a connection with a well-known drug personality but is currently incarcerated,” Soliman said.
Pacolarin is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
