DUMARAO, Capiz A 40-year-old farmer is facing a murder charge for allegedly killing his wife afternoon of May 25, 2019 at Brgy. Sibariwan, Dumarao, Capiz.
Artely Padernal suffered a fatal neck injury after she was hacked with a bolo by her husband Rely Padernal, 40, of the said place.
According to Police Captain Larnel Frial, Dumarao police chief, personal problems may have triggered the incident.
Investigation conducted by Dumarao police indicated that Artely asked money from Rely to buy school supplies for their children but the latter refused.
A heated argument ensued between the two until the hacking occurred.
Artely was declared dead at the hospital while Rely was arrested and detained at the Dumarao police station.
