Man drowns in river

BACOLOD City – The body of a man that was reported missing for two days has been found in a river in Barangay Lopez Jaena, Murcia, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.
Police withheld the name of the 25-year-old victim, a resident of Barangay Handumanan here.
Major Joeil Reclamado, town police chief, said the victim went swimming with his friends in a resort when the incident happened last Sunday.
The victim slipped on a rock and was carried away by the strong river current, according to the police.
Reclamado said the victim’s body was retrieved on Tuesday morning.
