Man drowned while fishing in lake

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 21-year-old man accidentally drowned to his death while fishing in a lake Sunday afternoon at Sitio Agpayao in Brgy. Nagba Cuartero, Capiz.

Reymart Haluan was declared dead on arrival at Sen. Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao, Capiz.

The Cuartero Municipal Police Station reported Haluan was with his family while catching fish in the lake.

The victim was on board an improvised bamboo boat releasing a fishing net when he accidentally fell into the water.

Some members of the family searched for Haluan until they found him 20 minutes later.
