Man dies from electrocution

Another man died from electrocution afternoon of September 11, 2021 in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
Police identified the victim as Joeven Carnaje, 38, a stockman and a resident of Barangay Agcuyawan Calsada, Barotac Nuevo.
According to reports, Carnaje was fixing a water tank atop a building on Recto St., Barangay Ilaud Poblacion, Barotac Nuevo.
Police investigation showed that Carnaje may have touched an open wire.
The building owner, Arwin Rey Tabuada Falcis, later saw the victim lying near the water tank stand.
Carnaje was immediately taken to Don Jose Sustiguer Memorial Medical Center Extension Hospital, Barotac Nuevo Iloilo but was declared dead on arrival.
In the past weeks, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has recorded several deaths due to electrocution.
The latest was on August 30 when two men were electrocuted while fixing a wire for their WiFi connection in Passi City, Iloilo.
