Man dies after Maayon motorcycle crash
ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A man died Monday afternoon, June 1, four days after he was hit by a motorcycle while crossing a road in Barangay Tuburan, Maayon, Capiz. Police identified the victim only as alias Rommel, 27. He died while being treated at Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City.

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A man died Monday afternoon, June 1, four days after he was hit by a motorcycle while crossing a road in Barangay Tuburan, Maayon, Capiz.
Police identified the victim only as alias Rommel, 27.
He died while being treated at Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City.
An investigation by the Maayon Municipal Police Station showed the victim was crossing the road on May 29 when he was accidentally hit by a motorcycle driven by alias Junrel, 16, also of the same village.
Police said the driver was on his way to Pontevedra town on a Barako 175 motorcycle when he hit the victim.
The impact threw both the victim and the driver, who sustained injuries to different parts of their bodies.
Personnel of the Maayon Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office immediately responded and administered first aid to Rommel before taking him to a hospital.
He was later transferred to Iloilo City because of the severity of his injuries.
The motorcycle and the driver are under the custody of the Maayon Municipal Police Station for proper disposition while police await the decision of the victim’s family.
