ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 59-year-old laborer was arrested Thursday morning, November 23, for alleged possession of an unlicensed firearm in Brgy. Bolo here.
The Roxas Component City Police Station led the operation against Raul “Bebot” Bajada of Sitio Pangpang Brgy. Bolo here.
Recovered from Balcena was a caliber .38 revolver loaded with ammunition.
Judge Esperanza Isabel Poco-Deslate of the Regional Trial Court Branch 19 Roxas City on November 22, 2023, issued the warrant of arrest.
Police Lt. Col. Francisco Paguia Jr., Roxas City police chief, said the suspect is presently under the custody of the Roxas City PNP while charges for violation of RA 105919 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against him.
He said that the suspect was under police surveillance for a week before the buy-bust operation was held.
