ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 20-year-old man refuted accusations that he was one of the suspects in two holdup cases here.
Romeo Alolor of Brgy. Milibili here said he had nothing to do with the robberies that victimized six persons at Barangays Lawaan and Baybay.
Alolor said he was attending to his friend with disability at his house in Brgy. San Jose when the alleged robbery occurred.
He said he has a TikTok video to prove his innocence.
Alolor said he surrendered to clear reports in the radio and social media linking him to the robbery.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Aron Palomo, Roxas City police chief, said one of the victims identified Alolor as one of the alleged robbers through the police rogues’ gallery,
The first robbery happened on July 28 at around 11:30 p.m. victimizing three young people in Barangay Lawa-an.
Three men on a tricycle took the victims’ cellphones and P5,000 cash.
The second robbery happened around 8 p.m. on July 29 at Cadimahan River, Lawis Baybay.
At knifepoint, three robbers took from three victims two cellphones and a wallet with P2,500 cash and automated teller machine cards.
Alolor is presently detained at the Roxas City police station.
