BACOLOD City – A man was allegedly gunned down and stabbed dead by his two relatives in a birthday party at Barangay Kumaliskis, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental last Sunday.
Slain was Dixie Boy Rebatado, 33, of the said village.
Police Lieutenant Ignacio Javier Jr., town police chief, said that the two suspects identified as Ronron De Pedro, 22, and Jic Montaño, 26, were drinking liquor at the latter’s residence when Rebatado, who was reportedly drunk, arrived around 9:30 p.m.
Rebatado figured in an argument with De Pedro and Montaño who then attacked the former.
The victim succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head and multiple stab wounds on the different parts of his body.
Both suspects were arrested and will be facing charges.
Javier said that the victim was previously charged for frustrated homicide after he allegedly stabbed the father of one of the suspects. He was released on bail.
