ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Police on Thursday, July 13, filed an illegal drug case against a former inmate following his arrest Wednesday noon, July 12, in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Punta Tabuc here.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) was filed against Dionesio Andres, 35, of Barangay 9 here before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
Recovered from Andres were nine sachets of suspected shabu valued at P200,000, a cellphone, and the P5,000 marked money.
Andres was previously jailed after he was caught at a police checkpoint for the same offense in 2014. He was released from jail in 2017 after the case against him was dismissed by the court.
He is presently in the custody of Roxas City police station.
