A newly identified high-value drug personality was arrested during a police anti-narcotics operation on the evening of July 14 in Balasan, Iloilo.
Alias Putot, 46, was arrested at his home in Purok 4, Barangay Salong, Balasan.
Members of the Balasan Municipal Police Station apprehended the suspect in a buy-bust operation.
Police operatives seized approximately 98.6 grams of suspected shabu and a .38-caliber revolver.
Capt. Renzo Martinez, Balasan police chief, said the confiscated drugs were valued at PHP670,480.

A one-month surveillance operation was conducted before the arrest.
Initial reports indicate that Alias Putot sourced his drug supply from Metro Manila and distributed it in Balasan and nearby towns.
The suspect is now in the custody of Balasan police and will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
