A 33-year-old laborer was arrested after he was caught using illegal drugs at his neighbor’s doorstep in Roxas City, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as Geinro Acaylar, 33, of Barangay Punta Tabuc, Roxas City.
Village officials put the suspect under arrest after receiving a call from 40-year-old George Avelino who claimed to have caught the suspect in the act of sniffing illegal drugs at their doorstep.
The suspect later yielded a plastic sachet with suspected shabu residue, an improvised tooter, and a lighter.
Acaylar is now detained at the lock-up cell of Roxas City Police Station and will be charged for violation of Section 15, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
