ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 33-year-old laborer who was arrested last week after he was allegedly caught sniffing shabu at his neighbor’s doorstep here tested negative for illegal drugs.
But while Geinro Acaylar was cleared in the test, the substance recovered from his possession was confirmed to be shabu.
Police had released Acaylar from detention, but they are now preparing the appropriate charges against him.
Acaylar was placed under citizen arrest after 40-year-old George Avelino claimed to have caught Acaylar sniffing illegal drugs at their doorstep.
The suspect later yielded a plastic sachet with suspected shabu residue, an improvised tooter, and another sachet.
