ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Sachets of suspected illegal drugs and an unlicensed firearm were recovered by police during the implementation of a search warrant Wednesday evening, March 25, against a person in Barangay Intampilan, Panitan, Capiz.
The authorities identified the suspect as alias “Edwin,” of legal age and a resident of the barangay.
Recovered from the suspect were four sachets of suspected shabu, one .38-caliber revolver with live ammunition, and a sling bag.
The suspect is under the custody of the Panitan Municipal Police Station while charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, are being readied against him.
