Man arrested in Roxas City gun buy-bust
ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 23-year-old man was arrested Monday night, Oct. 13, in a gun buy-bust operation conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)–Capiz in Barangay Dinginan, Roxas City. Police operatives identified the suspect as Vincent Detablan y Ambong, alias “Kabog,” of Sitio Bliss, Barangay Cagay, Roxas City.

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 23-year-old man was arrested Monday night, Oct. 13, in a gun buy-bust operation conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)–Capiz in Barangay Dinginan, Roxas City.
Police operatives identified the suspect as Vincent Detablan y Ambong, alias “Kabog,” of Sitio Bliss, Barangay Cagay, Roxas City.
A police poseur-buyer purchased from the suspect one Colt .45 pistol with a .45-caliber magazine, two live rounds, PHP 100 buy-bust money and PHP 19,900 boodle money.
The suspect is in the custody of CIDG–Capiz, and cases for violating Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) will be filed against him.
Meanwhile, a truck helper wanted for theft was arrested Sunday evening, Oct. 12, in Barangay Punta Tabuc, Roxas City.
The Roxas City Police Station served the outstanding warrant of arrest around 10:49 p.m. against Arman Alayon, 32, a resident of Barangay Cagay, Roxas City.
The warrant was issued by Judge Gertrude Belgica Jiro of the Municipal Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch Dumangas, Iloilo, on March 21, 2025.
The court recommended PHP 60,000 bail for his temporary liberty, and he is in the custody of the Roxas City Police Station for proper disposition before turnover to the court of origin.
