A man accused of online sexual abuse was arrested on the afternoon of July 24 in Lambunao, Iloilo.
The suspect, alias Allan, 27, a resident of Barangay Walang, was apprehended at Poblacion Ilawod, Lambunao.
Members of the Lambunao Municipal Police Station served the arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 11930, or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act.
The warrant was issued by the 6th Regional Trial Court, Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo on Oct. 10, 2024.
No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Allan is listed as the third most wanted person in Iloilo province.
Lambunao police chief Captain Jose Winston Biadog said the suspect was charged for allegedly posting an online video of a minor that was deemed sexually exploitative.
Biadog declined to disclose further details about the video or the suspect’s connection to the complainant.
The suspect is now in police custody pending proper legal disposition of his case.
