ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 29-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning in an entrapment operation conducted by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-Capiz) in Barangay 8 here.
Police Major Chris Artemius Devaras, CIDG-Capiz chief, identified the suspect as Jessie Jardin of Barangay Lublub, Dumangas, Iloilo.
Recovered from Jardin was a pistol-type shotgun, a live 12-gauge ammunition, P900 boodle or fake money and P100 marked money.
Devaras said it took a week of surveillance before the entrapment operation was conducted.
Jardin is presently detained at the CIDG-Capiz detention cell while charges for violations of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) are being readied against him.
