ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 35-year-old person was arrested for alleged gunrunning in an entrapment operation at Brgy. Baybay here Thursday afternoon.
Robert Anonat of Brgy. Sibaguan here did not resist when the elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) collared him.
Recovered from Anonat were a caliber 9mm pistol with 50 live ammunitions, a long-barreled shotgun with 10 live ammunitions, cellphones, and the fake money used as marked bills.
Police Major Chris Artemius Devaras, CIDG-Capiz Chief, said they have been monitoring Anonat’s activities in the past months.
The suspect refused to comment when interviewed by the media.
He is presently detained at the CIDG-Capiz while charges for violations of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Act) will be filed against him.
