No bail was set for the temporary release of a 37-year-old man who was arrested for an illegal gun possession charge.
The suspect, Jayme Bazar, was arrested evening of May 26, 2020 at his house in Molave Street, Lumina Homes Subdivision in Barangay Abilay Norte, Oton, Iloilo.
Members of Oton Police Station and the 1st Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company nabbed the suspect on the strength of an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) docketed as Criminal Case No. 19-84493.
Iloilo Regional Trial Court Branch 33 Judge Ma. Theresa Enrique-Gaspar issued the warrant.
Police Captain Robert Jayson Pancha, Oton police chief, said that the court issued a bench warrant against the suspect for his alleged failure to attend court hearings.
The suspect is now detained at Oton Police Station for proper disposition of his case.
