Man arrested for illegal drugs in Mambusao

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 25-year-old man is facing illegal drug charges after yielding sachets of suspected shabu or crystal meth.

Dante Tupaz III was arrested after police searched his house on Santa Catalina Street in Barangay Poblacion, Mambusao, Capiz Wednesday.

The Mambusao Municipal Police Station recovered from Tupaz’s house five sachets of suspected shabu with estimated value of P5,000, a weighing scale, aluminium foil, a tooter, a scissor and a lighter.

The search warrant was issued by Judge Judith Orendain-Tonogbanua of Regional Trial Cout Branch 20, Mambusao, Capiz dated August 24, 2020.

The warrant, however, was for alleged illegal possession of firearms.

Tupaz was earlier arrested and charged for illegal drug possession but he was released through plea bargaining agreement in 2018.

He is presently detained at Mambusao Municipal Police Station.
