A 27-year-old man was arrested again in a police anti-illegal drug operation before midnight on September 29 in City Proper, Iloilo City.
Alias Crispin, a resident of Barangay EL 98 in Jaro district, was caught in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Jalandoni-Wilson, City Proper.
Members of the Iloilo City Police Station 7 arrested the suspect after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth PHP 15,000.
During a body search, police seized eight more sachets of suspected shabu and several non-drug items.
Capt. Michael Tuburan, ICPS7 chief, said the confiscated drugs weighed about 45 grams with a standard drug price of PHP 306,000.
Crispin, identified as a street-level pusher, denied involvement in the illegal drug trade.
Tuburan said surveillance operations were conducted against him after a tip-off from an informant.
Police records showed the suspect was previously arrested in 2017 for a drug-related case.
He was released from prison in 2021 after being acquitted.
Crispin is now detained and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
