Man arrested after robbing jeep passenger at knifepoint
A 29-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly robbed a female jeepney passenger afternoon of December 1 in Jaro, Iloilo City. Ramil Abordaje, 29, of Barangay Ungka, Jaro, was collared in a hot pursuit operation. Police arrested Abordaje at Ungka village after almost two hours since he robbed Julie Ann Agoniza.

A 29-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly robbed a female jeepney passenger afternoon of December 1 in Jaro, Iloilo City.
Ramil Abordaje, 29, of Barangay Ungka, Jaro, was collared in a hot pursuit operation.
Police arrested Abordaje at Ungka village after almost two hours since he robbed Julie Ann Agoniza.
The incident happened as Agoniza, 29, of Barangay Cabugao Norte, Pavia, Iloilo and the suspect were riding a passenger jeepney plying the Pavia-Iloilo City route.
While the jeepney was navigating Barangay Sambag, Abordaje told the victim at knifepoint, “Dal-a di cellphone mo (Give me your cellphone).”
Agoniza said he and fellow passengers were taken aback by the suspect’s bold approach.
She readily gave her mobile phone to the robber.
One passenger even posted a photo of the suspect as he was running toward Barangay Ungka.
A hot pursuit operation was immediately launched that led to the suspect’s arrest.
Abordaje is now detained pending the filing of charges against him.
