Man accused of raping PWD woman nabbed

A man accused of sexually molesting a woman with disability was arrested afternoon of September 8 in Laua-an, Antique.
Police identified the suspect as Felipe Lomugda, 42, a resident of Barangay Maria, Laua-an town.
Member of the Laua-an Municipal Police Station, together with Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Antique Provincial Field Unit, Maritime Police Station-Antique and 63rd Special Action Company 6th Special Action Battalion, collared Lomugda by virtue of an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997) docketed as Criminal Case No. RT-BGS-2021-09-1995-L.
Judge Mario De Guzman Andres of the Regional Trial Court Branch 64 in Bugasong, Antique issued the arrest warrant on Sept. 7, 2021.
No bail was set for Lomugda’s temporary liberty.
A person with disability accused Lomugda of raping her in January 2020.
The complainant claimed she was on her way home when the suspect accosted her.
Lomugda is now detained at the lock-up cell of Laua-an Municipal Police Station for proper disposition of his case.
