Man, 61, nabbed for ‘raping’ 15-year-old girl

A 61-year-old man was arrested months after he was accused of sexually molesting a minor.
Members of Numancia Police Station nabbed Alfredo Lamahan around 5 p.m. of September 16 at his house in Barangay Bubog, Numancia, Aklan.
Lamahan is facing four counts of violation of Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic Act 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997) docketed as Criminal Case Nos. 15916, 15917, 15918 and 15919.
Judge Bienvenido Barrios Jr. of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6) Branch 3, Kalibo, Aklan issued the arrest on Sept. 16, 2021.
No bail was recommended for Lamahan’s temporary liberty.
Records indicated that Lamahan was accused of repeatedly molesting a 15 year-old-girl in March 2021.
The suspect is now detained at the lock-up cell of Numancia Police Station for proper disposition of his case.
Meanwhile, a native of Guimaras facing a rape charge was arrested morning of September 15 at Barangay San Isidro, Angono, Rizal.
The suspect was identified as Julie Galfo, 55, a resident of Barangay San Enrique, San Lorenzo, Guimaras. He was accused of two counts of rape.
Galfo is detained and will be turned over to the court concerned.
