ROXAS CITY, Capiz — League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Capiz chapter president Raymond Malapajo was recently elected as LMP vice president for the Visayas cluster during the 1st National Directorate Meeting and Election of National Executive Officers held on Oct. 2–3, 2025, at the New World Hotel in Makati City.
Now serving his second term as mayor of Maayon, Capiz, Malapajo joins the new roster of officials in the LMP Executive Committee for 2025 to 2028, led by Mayor Faustino “Inno” Dy V of Echague, Isabela, as national president.
Malapajo was earlier re-elected unopposed as LMP-Capiz president during the provincial election held at El Circulo Convention Center at Pueblo de Panay in Roxas City.
Joining Dy in the executive committee is Mayor Jun Tetangco of Apalit, Pampanga, as executive vice president for operations.
Mayor Cynthia Falcotelo-Fortes of Barcelona, Sorsogon, will serve as vice president for internal affairs, while Mayor Cesar Suan of Cordova, Cebu, will head external affairs.
The League of Municipalities of the Philippines is a non-profit, non-government organization that addresses the various needs of its member municipalities, represented by their local chief executives.
Driven by a vision of inclusive and equitable development, the LMP continues to uphold excellence, integrity, and public service while advancing transparency, accountability, and participatory governance across the nation.
The organization counts about 1,480 municipal mayors as members nationwide.
