When Atty. Gaudioso “Didoy” Geduspan II took the helm of the Land Transportation Office Region 6 in 2024, he brought more than legal expertise—he carried a deep commitment to transparency, accountability and public service.
That dedication has now been formally recognized, as Geduspan was named a regional winner in the 2025 Search for Outstanding Government Workers, according to the Civil Service Commission Regional Office VI.
“These outstanding individuals and groups have demonstrated exemplary performance, unwavering dedication and commitment to public service, making an impact not only within their respective agencies, but in the communities they serve,” CSC-6 said in a statement posted on social media.
The Dangal ng Bayan Award honors public servants who consistently exemplify integrity, professionalism and efficiency.
For Geduspan and the other regional awardees, this recognition marks a significant step forward as they advance to the national selection phase.
A 1998 graduate of the University of San Agustin College of Law and a 1999 bar passer, Geduspan began his legal career as a junior associate at Jacela Law Office before becoming managing partner at a prominent Iloilo law firm.
He joined LTO-6 in 2003 as regional attorney, launching a career that would eventually reshape the agency’s operations in Western Visayas.
Over the years, he led legal reforms, introduced operational improvements and reinforced the agency’s ethical standards.
His performance earned him a promotion to assistant regional director in 2017, during which he prosecuted 23 anti-corruption cases involving LTO personnel.
“Integrity is non-negotiable,” Geduspan often reminds his staff—a principle that continues to guide the agency’s internal culture.
His leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic was especially impactful.
He mobilized aid for thousands of affected transport workers, introduced free online theoretical driving courses and launched community outreach programs for vulnerable sectors.
These efforts earned him the Katuwang Award for his role in the region’s pandemic response.
Geduspan also modernized LTO-6’s digital systems, improving public access to road safety information and agency services.
He established the Special Colorum Team to combat illegal transport operations, achieving swift and notable results.
Over the course of his career, he has earned numerous honors, including the Outstanding Professional Award in Governance and Public Service and a nomination for the Office of the Ombudsman’s HIP Awards.
Now, his latest accolade as a 2025 Dangal ng Bayan regional awardee adds another milestone to his distinguished record.
As he advances to the national level of the CSC search, one thing is clear—Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II is not only leading LTO-6, but also redefining citizen-focused public service in Western Visayas.
