ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two lovers were found dead early Saturday morning in the towns of Dumarao and Dumalag, Capiz.
The female victim identified as Rose Bering of Anilao, Iloilo was found dead in front of Capiz State University (CAPSU) at Barangay San Juan, Dumarao.
According to the residents, they heard gunfire in the area early Saturday morning.
The residents were surprised when they found a woman dead with multiple gunshot wounds on her body.
On the other hand, the Dumalag Municipal Police Station reported that Erlon Lego of Lambunao, Iloilo was found dead on the same day at Barangay Dolores, Dumalag Capiz.
Damulag and Dumarao are adjacent to each other.
According to Police Captain Leomindo Tayopon, Dumalag Municipal Police Station chief, Lego has pending criminal cases in Iloilo and has been using different names.
Facebook photos of the two victims indicated that they were lovers.
Their photos were retrieved from the Facebook account of a certain “Jroa Lopez” which were posted last Oct 7, 2020.
It was learned that Bering stayed in Brgy. Cudian in Ivisan, Capiz and broke up with her live-in partner one month ago before she decided to return to Iloilo.
