A couple was arrested anew in an anti-illegal drug operation late evening of October 13 at City Proper district, Iloilo City.
Police identified the suspects as Rosalinda Regalado, 43, and her live-in partner, Alvin Soriano, 31, residents of Barangay Rizal Estanzuela, City Proper, the area where the operation took place.
Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU-6) and the Iloilo City Police Station 1 collared the couple after they allegedly conspired to sell a sachet of suspected shabu for P25,200.
When later frisked, the couple yielded two more sachets of suspected shabu. The seized items were valued at P150,000.
Both suspects are considered as street-level individual (SLI) drug personalities.
It was gathered that Regalado was arrested for the same offense in July 2005 but was released from incarceration on May 22, 2014.
On the other hand, Soriano got busted in January 2010 and was released from jail eight years later.
The two suspects are back in jail and will be charged anew for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) as amended.
