Live-in partner falls in Roxas City drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A couple who was arrested early Sunday morning in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Roxas City police in Barangay Punta Tabuc, Roxas City were charged Monday morning, Dec. 4.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed before the City Prosecutor’s Office against Jonathan Villaruz, 32, of Brgy. Banica Roxas, City and Anna Marie Azarcon, 29, of Barangay Cagay Roxas City.
Recovered from John were 4 sachets of suspected shabu, an empty plastic sachet, a coin purse, a cellphone, a motorcycle, and the P6,500 marked money.
The suspected illegal drugs weighed 20 grams and are valued at P136,000.
Villaruz is presently in the custody of Roxas City PNP.
