Filipino Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang proved he is still one of the top-tier mixed martial artists in ONE Fighting Championship after dominating against the veteran Hexigetu during their strawweight showdown.
Oozing with confidence heading into the fight, the tough Pinoy striker gave a treat to the fans after displaying his full offensive arsenal as he destroyed Hexigetu from the get-go.
Unpredictable with his array of offensive attacks, Hexigetu was left clueless inside the ring as he received numerous blows from Adiwang’s thunderous knees, leg kicks. jabs, and hooks.
Hexigetu changed to a more defensive game after Adiwang landed a vicious running knee in the first round, completely negating the veteran’s gameplan.
With Hexigetu concentrating on defense, Adiwang unleashed his attacks and landed at will, making the former seem like a training dummy as the Filipino striker connected on shots to the head down to the mid-section.
“I got a few cancelled fights, but I’m just happy that I was able to win this match. Although I was unable to get the knockout I was looking for, I just tried to make it real entertaining for the fans,” said Adiwang.
Adiwang is currently on a hot streak as he won nine out of his 10 matches and improved to a stellar 13-3 record.
