IVISAN, Capiz – A lineman of Capiz Electric Cooperative (CAPELCO) died of electrocution while fixing a distribution wire at Barangay Malocloc Sur, Ivisan, Capiz.
The victim was identified as Jose Pablo Biaco, 31, and resident of Dumalag town.
Police investigation indicated that Biaco was atop the distribution pole to fix a line when he accidentally touched the live wire and later fell to the ground.
He was taken to St. Anthony Hospital in Roxas City where he was declared dead on arrival.
The victim was in Ivisan to augment Capelco personnel who were fixing power lines destroyed by typhoon Ursula in December 2019.
