Lightning kills farmer in Maayon

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Lightning is believed to have killed an 18-year-old farmer Wednesday at Barangay West Villaflores, Maayon, Capiz.

Police identified the victim as Danilo Bansagan, 18, of said place.

Bansagan was on his way home along with his three friends, Ronnie Dizon, Emmanuel Ramon and Marbert Albar when lightning suddenly struck.

The victim and his three companions scampered to safety but Bansagan died due to third degree burns on the different parts of his body.

Bansagan was declared dead at Bailan District Hospital.
