ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A lending company lost PHP 263,490 in cash after unidentified burglars ransacked its office early Wednesday, April 29, in Barangay Tiza here.
Police Chief Master Sgt. Ramil Arcangeles, Roxas City Police Station spokesperson, said police have no persons of interest yet in the burglary at Dungannon Lending Company in Barangay Tiza.
Arcangeles said Scene of the Crime Operatives personnel are cross-matching fingerprints taken from the crime scene with the records of persons previously arrested for robbery.
He said police are looking for additional evidence from closed-circuit television footage near the establishment.
“As of now, we could not yet find a final conclusion on the said incident as the investigation is ongoing,” he added.
The suspects carted away PHP 263,490 in cash after opening the company’s steel vault.
Arcangeles said the suspects also took the main memory unit of the company’s CCTV camera to prevent authorities from identifying them.
An investigation showed that the suspects entered through the office’s sliding window and may have used a ladder to reach the second floor of the establishment, where the office was located.
