LCD coalition files COC in Antique province

Team Legarda-Cadiao-Denosta (LCD) officially filed their certificate of candidacy (COC) last Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the office of the Commission of Elections (COMELEC) in Antique.
The LCD coalition is composed of Antonio Agapito Legarda and incumbents Antique Governor Rhodora Cadiao and Vice Governor Edgar Denosta.
Cadiao and Denosta will seek re-election in the May 2022 elections.
The lady governor, who is running for her third 3-year term, appealed for support from Antiqueños.
“This is the time to tell everybody nga indi ron kita makwigit rugya sa Antique. So, I appeal to give us another chance for another three years to show you what we can do,” Cadiao said in a statement on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Legarda will be running for congressman as he hopes to continue the legacy of his sister, Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda who has also filed her COC for a senatorial seat.
“Sen. Loren has so many plans for Antique. Kung ako ay pagpalain na maging representante sa kongreso, doble-doble po ang tulong na matatanggap ng ating probinsya. Kaya, I would dedicate my time and all my efforts to make sure that Senator Loren’s great plans will be realized,” he said in a statement.
Legarda and Denosta are under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) while Cadiao is affiliated with the National Unity Party (NUP).
