Lazada Philippines is deepening its commitment to inclusive e-commerce growth through a robust combination of AI-powered tools, education, and real-world learning experiences for sellers.
Fresh off its 6.6 mid-year mega sale, the platform is pushing forward a smarter, future-ready online ecosystem that empowers Filipino brands and entrepreneurs.
AI has become a core driver of seller growth on Lazada, with businesses leveraging predictive tools to manage inventory, forecast demand, and better understand customer behavior.
“We use AI to predict sales by analyzing the past five years of data,” said Sultan Joson of Cloud Logic.
“It helps us align our manual forecasts and prepare more accurately. That kind of insight is incredibly valuable as the platform grows more competitive,” he added.

Lazada’s AI tools have also streamlined tasks like product copywriting and image enhancement, making formerly time-consuming processes more efficient and accessible.
“Our investments in AI are designed to empower all sellers, whether they come from established brands or are first-time entrepreneurs,” said Pauline Castro, user product operations head at Lazada Philippines.
“Integrating AI into core parts of the platform helps them make informed decisions and boost efficiency, and ultimately enrich experiences for both sellers and customers,” she added.
Lazada University, the platform’s educational hub, offers training modules that equip sellers with up-to-date skills on digital marketing, content optimization, and platform updates.
In a broader move to globalize its empowerment strategy, Lazada selected 11 top-performing Filipino sellers for the Lazada-Alibaba E-commerce Executive Education Program in Hangzhou, China.
Participants attended workshops with Alibaba experts, exploring topics like AI integration, cross-border brand building, and next-generation retail technologies.
“What I saw in China was five years into the future,” said Tin Montinola of Bench Philippines.
“With what Lazada is already offering here — especially in AI and data — we’re not far behind. It’s an exciting time to be part of this transformation.”
“I was really inspired by Alibaba’s vision,” added Grace Cruz, founder of Scent Swatch.
“Lazada makes it easy to start a business, but it doesn’t stop there. The AI tools, the business insights, they help you keep growing. Every step of the way, it’s like having a coach built into the platform.”
Sellers say that AI adoption is improving customer experiences through better inventory accuracy, faster delivery, and more relevant product recommendations.
“AI helps you know your customers better — who they are, what they need, and how to deliver it,” said Gabby Recto of Ready for Great Business.
“It’s not just about selling more. It’s about selling smarter.”
Carlos Barrera, CEO at Lazada Philippines, emphasized the importance of investing in people as much as technology.
“Sellers are at the heart of our business, enabling us to deliver a superior online shopping experience,” he said.
“By integrating intelligent tools, learning resources, and real-world experiences, we’re building an ecosystem where every Filipino seller can succeed.”
With the AI sector rapidly evolving, Lazada continues to democratize innovation through practical tools, localized training, and personalized seller support.
The platform is accelerating AI integration through more than a dozen workstreams—from automated tagging to real-time translation—helping sellers drive growth in a competitive digital market.
