A 22-year-old woman was injured in a road incident at Jaro, Iloilo City afternoon of March 21, 2021.
Police identified the victim as Christine Joy Suliano, a resident of Barangay Sambag, Jaro.
Reports said the victim and her female friend came from Jaro Plaza and were crossing the road at Rizal Street in Barangay Benedicto, Jaro when the incident happened around 2:00 in the afternoon of Sunday.
Police reports said that a Fuso Wrecker truck (license plate ALA 8694) bumped a passenger jeepney as the former was heading towards El-98 Street.
The truck was driven by Julius Rosillo, 24, of Barangay Cuartero, Jaro while the passenger jeepney driver was identified as Pedro Sagala Jr., 59, of Barangay Balabago, Jaro.
The jeepney edged forward and hit Sullano who was crossing the street.
It again bumped another jeepney driven by Edwin Baclas Jr,, 27, of Barangay San Lucas, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
Sullano sustained a head injury and multiple abrasions on her body.
She was taken to West Visayas State University Medical Center for treatment.
