LANDBANK strengthens Cebu partnerships to drive growth, food security, and digital innovation

LANDBANK intensified its engagements with Cebu’s key development partners aimed at strengthening financing and banking support in the province, reinforcing the Bank’s role in advancing regional economic growth and financial inclusion across Visayas.
As one of the country’s key centers for commerce and food production, Cebu plays a vital role in driving economic activity across the region. The Bank’s engagements on 01-02 October 2026 focused on sectors significantly contributing to the province’s growth, including cooperatives, logistics, and fisheries.
“Cebu’s strength lies in the enterprises, cooperatives, and producers whose hard work sustains livelihoods, connects communities, and helps secure the country’s food supply. LANDBANK is proud to stand alongside our partners in Cebu, providing the financial support and banking solutions they need to grow, innovate, and create lasting opportunities for the province and the wider Visayas,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.
Among the key engagements was with Cebu CFI Community Cooperative, one of the country’s largest cooperatives, which focused on growth initiatives and the expanded use of LANDBANK’s digital banking, collection, payment, and cash management solutions.
LANDBANK also engaged the Top Line Group on financing and transaction banking solutions to support its expanding fuel distribution, logistics, and port operations businesses, which facilitate trade and economic activity across the Visayas.
The Bank likewise reinforced its partnership with the Lite Group of Companies, a major inter-island shipping operator serving routes across the Visayas, Mindanao, and Southern Luzon. Discussions covered financing for fleet expansion and banking services that support the movement of goods and strengthen connectivity among island communities.
The engagements also covered the fisheries sector, with LANDBANK meeting 2026 Ulirang Mangingisda awardee Teodulo C. Llego to explore opportunities to expand sustainable aquaculture operations and further contribute to local food production. Through years of innovation and expansion, Llego has built a thriving aquaculture enterprise in Ronda, Cebu that provides employment and livelihood opportunities in his community.
Through these partnerships, LANDBANK continues to support enterprises and producers that contribute to Cebu’s economy, from cooperatives and logistics providers to shipping operators and food producers, helping generate jobs, strengthen supply chains, and expand economic opportunities across the province and the wider Visayas.
