LANDBANK strengthens account security with ATM Protect insurance

As part of its continuous efforts to strengthen account security for Filipinos, LANDBANK is ramping up the rollout of ATM Protect in partnership with Cocogen Insurance, Inc. (COCOGEN), offering affordable insurance coverage against ATM and over-the-counter withdrawal robbery and other fraudulent transactions.
Launched in September 2025, the insurance program has been providing affordable protection against deposit account-related risks such as forced withdrawals, card skimming, ATM tampering, and other fraudulent transactions across both physical and digital channels, giving ATM and passbook accountholders greater peace of mind.
“At LANDBANK, we recognize that even small, unexpected losses can significantly affect our clients, especially those who rely on their savings for day-to-day expenses. Through ATM Protect, we are making financial security more accessible, offering accountholders a practical and affordable way to safeguard their finances,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.
LANDBANK ATM or passbook savings accountholders can choose from three low-cost coverage options priced at PHP 180, PHP 360, and PHP 540 per year. Each plan covers replacement of cash lost due to fraudulent transactions and provides protection in the event of robbery, covering ATM and over-the-counter losses, accidental death, in-hospital indemnity, mobile device loss, document replacement, and identity theft restoration, with benefits scaling up with each plan.
In addition, policyholders benefit from COCOGEN’s 24/7 global coverage, as well as access to its dedicated hotline for emergency assistance, medical and legal referrals, and fast claims processing.
Coverage applies to transactions conducted by the accountholder, including those performed by authorized representatives from the accountholder’s immediate family.
Enrollment can be completed by filling out the application form available through QR codes and digital brochures at any LANDBANK branch or via its online channels. Premium payments may be settled using the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App (MBA), iAccess, or through over-the-counter payment (ONCOLL). Clients must submit the accomplished form, together with proof of payment, to COCOGEN to facilitate proper recording and processing of their enrollment.
In collaboration with COCOGEN, LANDBANK continues to expand access to affordable insurance solutions, providing clients added protection against daily financial uncertainties.
