ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 21-year-old woman was arrested Sunday afternoon in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) in Barangay Banica here.
Led by PDEU team leader Police Major Francisco Paguia, the operatives nabbed Jamaica “Aica” Cello of Barangay Tanza here.
Recovered from Cello were eight sachets of suspected illegal drugs including the items bought by the operatives for P2,500, and a cellular phone.
Cello was also arrested in January 2020 in a drug bust operation in Kalibo, Aklan but he was released through plea bargaining agreement.
She is presently in the custody of the PDEU while charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against her.
