Laborer stabbed dead

BACOLOD City – Police are investigating the death of a laborer who was found dead at Sitio Overflow, Barangay San Isidro, Toboso, Negros Occidental last Sunday.

Police identified the victim as Renato Delicana, 55, of the said village.

A 15-year-old boy who was walking towards Sitio Overflow found the victim lifeless and lying on the grass.

Police Lieutenant Reneboy Eduardo, deputy chief of Toboso Municipal Police Station, said the victim suffered multiple stab wounds.

Eduardo said the victim was last seen alive on Saturday night.

He believed the victim was killed in the said area. However, no witnesses surfaced, despite the presence of many people because of a fiesta.

Police are waiting for the result of the post-mortem examination.
