Laborer Shot Dead Outside Home in Aklan

A 45-year-old laborer was killed in a gun attack on the evening of June 15 in Banga, Aklan.
The victim, known only as alias Remy, had recently moved from Sitio Taroytoy, Barangay Dalagsaan, Libacao, to Lapnag, Banga.
According to his daughter, two men arrived around 7:25 p.m. Sunday asking for her father.
When Remy stepped outside, he was met with a volley of gunfire.
The gunmen then fled on a motorcycle toward Libacao.
Emergency responders from the Banga Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office brought the victim to Dr. Rafael Tumbokon Memorial Hospital in Kalibo.
He was declared dead on arrival.
Lt. George Flores, deputy chief of Banga police, said investigators have yet to determine the motive behind the shooting.
“We’re considering all possibilities,” he said.
Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to help identify the suspects.
