A laborer was arrested early morning of August 19, 2021 after he allegedly sexually molested a 16-year old boy in San Rafael, Iloilo.
The suspect Rey Lagura, 33, is a resident of Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Barotac Viejo,Iloilo
The incident allegedly happened around 11 p.m. of August 18 at Barangay Bagacay, San Rafael.
The suspect was said to be drunk when he forcibly took the teenager.
The victim is a resident of Pavia, Iloilo but is staying at someone who acts as his foster mother in Bagacay village.
Armed with a bladed weapon, the suspect allegedly ordered the boy to perform oral and anal sex.
Lieutenant Mary Jane Panes, San Rafael police chief, said the suspect was arrested 2:10 a.m. of August 19 in a follow-up operation.
He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997) in relation to RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
