BACOLOD CITY – A 36-year-old laborer died after being electrocuted late Tuesday night at Purok Paho, Barangay Dulao, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The victim, identified only as “Fred,” was a resident of the same barangay.
According to a police investigation, the victim was assigned to move electrical wires to allow a fully loaded sugarcane truck to pass through an unpaved section of the road.
While climbing the truck to clear the wires, the victim accidentally came into contact with a live wire. The incident occurred at around 11:35 p.m.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival, police said.
