A 46-year-old laborer was arrested on Jan. 1 in Badiangan, Iloilo, in connection with multiple counts of statutory rape.
The suspect, identified only as alias Arnold, a resident of Barangay Cabayogan, Badiangan, was apprehended in Barangay Poblacion by operatives of the Badiangan Municipal Police Station.
Police said the arrest was carried out by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo, on Dec. 4, 2025.
The warrant cited eight counts of statutory rape and carried no recommended bail for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Authorities said the accused is listed as the sixth most wanted person in Western Visayas.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Badiangan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and further legal proceedings.
