ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 67-year-old laborer was arrested during the service of a search warrant early Tuesday morning, April 21, in Sitio Dodo, Barangay Agtambi, Dao, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect only by the alias “Noel,” a resident of the area.
Authorities said they recovered a .38-caliber revolver loaded with four live rounds of ammunition from the suspect.
The search warrant was issued by Judge Lorencito Diaz of Branch 17 of the Regional Trial Court in Roxas City.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Dao police for proper disposition.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, are being prepared against him.
Republic Act 10591 governs the ownership, registration and regulation of firearms and ammunition in the Philippines.
