The Iloilo City Police Office cited units that performed well during its flag-raising ceremony on Monday.
The units were rated based on their anti-illegal drug campaign accomplishments and Unit Performance Evaluation Rating for March.
Iloilo City Police Station 2 (La Paz) topped the anti-illegal drug operations category. Capt. Gimel Acuesta, ICPS 2 officer-in-charge, received the certificate of recognition.
ICPS 4 (Molo) under Capt. Ryan Christ Inot ranked second, while ICPS 10 (Mandurriao) under Capt. Lester Oliveros placed third.
For the UPER, ICPS 6 (Arevalo) under Capt. Michael Tuburan received the highest rating. ICPS 3 (Jaro) under Capt. Marvin Larano placed second, and ICPS 8 (Lapuz) under Capt. Maria Tonigrace Troncoso ranked third.
The rating is based on accumulated points across parameters including intelligence operations and administrative and personnel management, among others.
Col. Wilbert Parilla, Iloilo City police chief, commended the awardees and units that contributed to the success of operations, particularly in anti-illegal drug efforts and UPER performance.
“Your hard work, discipline, and commitment do not go unnoticed. You are a reflection of what our organization stands for — professionalism and dedication to service,” Parilla said.
He also encouraged all personnel to sustain the ICPO’s high performance standards.
Parilla also used the occasion to express gratitude to ICPO personnel after his designation as full-fledged ICPO director.
He thanked the Philippine National Police leadership and the local government for the trust and confidence bestowed upon him.
As ICPO director, he vowed to lead with integrity, fairness, and clear direction.
“Together, we will strengthen our service and ensure that we remain responsive and accountable to the community we serve,” he said.
Parilla was officially designated as full-fledged ICPO director effective April 8, or 85 days after serving as officer-in-charge.
